On affected vehicles and only when an emergency braking function is initiated via the Electro-mechanical Parking Brake (EPB) button, the brake lights at the rear of the vehicle fail to illuminate. The basic operability of the brakes and brake lights are not affected by this issue when braking via the regular service brake foot pedal.
