The mounting bolt may damage the airbag fabric in the event of deployment. The airbag may not provide optimum protection, and may cause serious injury to the rear occupant.

Affected consumers should contact an authorised Hyundai dealer, to have the exposed mounting bolt covered up, and to prevent contact between the bolt and fabric bag. The rectification will be free of charge.
