If the cooling system has to be refilled, air may become trapped in the cooling system, which might result in insufficient cooling of the engine components.

A fire in the engine bay increases the risk of an accident and injury or death to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
Volvo Car Australia will contact affected owners in writing to advise of the recall and the actions that should be taken until the vehicle can be repaired. If owners notice any unusual smells, they are advised to stop safely and contact Volvo Roadside Assistance.
Parts are expected to become available around December 2020. Once parts are available, Volvo will contact affected owners again, requesting that owners make an appointment to have the vehicle repaired.
