CLEAR ABOUT THE DATA

Understand what each result tells you.

Source, timing and coverage matter. Keep these distinctions in mind when using vehicle information in your business.

01

Different sources, different update cycles

Official searches, observed listings and AUCN estimates serve different purposes. Review the search time and any source or date information shown in the output.

02

Advertised prices are market signals

A listing price is an asking price, not a confirmed sale price. Valuations provide an indicative guide; condition and other vehicle-specific factors still matter.

03

Coverage varies by vehicle

Not every vehicle has every record or section. Missing data or no matching records should be considered alongside report notes, inspection and your other checks.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you get started.

Practical details to help you assess whether AUCN fits your workflow.

Have another question? Get in touch
What vehicle information do I need?

A VIN is the most direct way to identify a vehicle. Registration and state can also be used where supported. Confirm the returned vehicle details before relying on the results; coverage can vary by vehicle and data source.

How is a business enquiry different from a single report?

A business enquiry helps us understand recurring or higher-volume needs, the data you require and how you want to use it. If you only need an individual vehicle report, you can use the standard report purchase page.View individual reports.

Can I discuss API access or higher-volume queries?

Yes. Select API / integration or higher-volume reports in the form and describe your workflow. We will discuss available endpoints or delivery options, coverage, usage permissions and commercial requirements. Specific capabilities and access are confirmed during that discussion.

Are valuations based on confirmed sale prices?

The market information described here includes advertised listing prices, which are not confirmed transaction prices. Valuations are indicative estimates based on available data. Condition, location, specification and other factors can affect an individual vehicle’s value.

Will every vehicle have every report section?

No. Available sections and records depend on the vehicle, matching information and source coverage. An unavailable field or no matching records does not establish that a vehicle has no history or risk. Review the report notes and carry out further checks relevant to your decision.

How current is the information?

Official searches, observed listings and analytical estimates have different update cycles. Review the search time and any source or date information shown in the output. Tell us if your workflow needs a particular refresh frequency so we can discuss what is available.

How is business pricing worked out?

Pricing is discussed against expected usage, required data or report modules, delivery method and support needs. Include an approximate monthly volume in your enquiry. If you are still evaluating, select “Not sure yet”.

Can I show AUCN data or reports to my customers?

Describe how you plan to display, share or incorporate the information. Available delivery options and permissions for customer-facing use, branding, storage and redistribution need to be agreed before implementation.
